5. Megan from The Mermaid With Muscles

I found Megan on Pinterest a while back and I’ve been so into her content ever since! She is a NASM certified personal trainer and she posts Keto recipes, workouts, and advice to lose fat and tone your body!

I’ve gotten back into health and fitness again recently and I really want to do some of her workouts soon.

Also, Megan got back with me and shared this awesome advice about Pinterest:

“Advice from me: Don’t ignore Pinterest, which is exactly what I did for far too long! Trying to put myself out there in the “Fitspo” world I really put all my attention on Instagram, because that’s where I could post workout videos and transformation photos directly to my audience (which I still do) but I felt like my audience growth was so slow and getting people over to my blog was a challenge. One day I randomly checked out my analytics (clearly I do that more often now ha ha), which I discovered over 90% of my traffic was coming from Pinterest from a few random pins I had done a few months prior. At that point (less than 2 months ago), I obviously switched my focus to learning/giving more attention to Pinterest and my blog pageviews have gone from 60k to over 100k! I finally feel like my blog is on a steady up hill climb!”

“My favorite social media platform is definitely Instagram! I love being able to connect with bloggers from around the world and form a community with them where I am able to see their stories and view them in Instagram Lives in real time. It’s such an amazing way to form relationships and make friends not just with other bloggers, but my readers as well! I use Instagram to grow my audience by just being myself. Being open, honest, and completely authentic on Instagram is what has helped me the most to form a community and audience around my blog!”

8. Sam from Smart Twenties

Sam is an Australian personal development blogger. She writes on everything from Personal growth to Career + Finance to Productivity, and more! She really takes advantage of the different mediums that there are online. Not only does she have her blog, she also has a podcast and a YouTube channel!

Okay, I’m gonna be honest, I could spend days reading Sam’s blog and listening to her podcast and watching her YouTube videos. She puts so much time and effort into every single post. They’re packed full of so much wisdom and I seriously can’t wait till I have enough time to go back and read a bunch more of her writing!

Sam got back to me and shared this awesome reminder about Pinterest and Instagram!

“My favourite social media platform for growing my audience is Pinterest because that’s where my ideal reading is searching for advice to help them live their best life (unlike facebook and instagram where they’re scrolling through all sorts of different things, and scrolling very quickly at that). I’ve always loved instagram for creating a more personal connection with my audience and I’m now more into it than ever as I’ve started to write my own quotes, which I LOVE doing. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure that what you’re sharing either creates an emotion or fulfils a desire. And that you’re sharing it where your ideal reading is hanging out.”

Amy is an online business manager and systems architect. She loves writing and shares tons of tips and tricks about blogging, entrepreneurship, Being a virtual assistant and so much more!

Amy was able to get back to me and shared this awesome advice about Pinterest and Instagram!

“My favorite social media platform is hard to pick. I LOVE Instagram, and I’m finally starting to be strategic about what I post aka no more spamming my dog for all my business colleagues to see. I really like this because it’s visual, and you can really express yourself. However if I had to pick one, I would pick Pinterest, this is THE perfect platform to start growing your audience. Plus how much fun is it to pin things!? I am lucky to have an assistant that LOVES all things Pinterest, and she’s been wanting to learn how to maximize this platform, so I gave her the option and we’re seeing some slow and steady growth. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next few months now that she has finally mastered everything and all things pinterest.”

10. Jelena from Bob for Her

Jelena is a blogging and online business advice blogger. She shares so much insider info into running a profitable blog. Seriously, her blog has so much amazing information on it. I can’t wait to read more of it and put it all into practice!

Jelena was able to get back to me and shared this awesome advice about Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest!

“3 The social networks I use the most:
Facebook:
I have been working for more than 10 years as Social Media Manager for other companies, and I met with most of the Social Network. In Serbia, where I live, Facebook was the most popular for a long time (statistics say every third person has their own FB profile). So I really liked this network and thought it was my online home. The biggest achievement I’ve made on this network – a page with 190,000 likes. However, with Facebook algorithms changes sometimes becomes a bit stressful when your post on a page of 2000 or 3000 likes, only 50 people view.
Facebook is still an excellent platform, just use it in a slightly different way. Much more I participate in Facebook Groups. My advice is to find groups from your niche and regularly participate in their threads. If your posts are useful, people will very much like to visit your blog to find out more.
Instagram:
My teenage kids recently said, “Facebook is dead, everyone is on Instagram”. So I opened the Instagram account. However, since I am not a person who is often photographed, nor does I have a luxurious life, this platform does not seem so simple to me. Especially that you have to have an eye for a photo and know at least some basics of photo editing. If one interesting thing about Instagram is that you can only set one link. Smartly choose which or change the link to every new post on the blog.
However, many bloggers get the most blog visitors from this network so I will continue to study it. I think it’s very easy to get Instagram followers (just follow a few people from your niche on a daily basis) but it’s very difficult to turn them into blog visitors.
Pinterest:
I love this website even more! First, because Pinterest is predominantly a women’s network (about 75% are women), which corresponds to my blog. Secondly, with applications like Tailwind, it’s easy to make a schedule for next Sunday. So it’s pretty hands-free.
In the beginning, it is a little harder to get Pinterest companions but this is not so important if you have nice styled pins with attractive titles. Since Pinterest is a type of search engine, you also need a good description and your pin for years to “spin” by Pinterest. Over time, the number of pins will increase, and that is the people who will see them and who will visit your blog.
Be patient with Pinterest. You can expect a more serious number of visitors after 6 months of work on this network.”
