Welcome to my Blogs I’m Loving Series! This is the second post in this series and I’m so excited to tell you all about all the blogs I’ve been loving lately! I started this series on July 4th when I told you all about my favorite blogs that I read in June 2017.
First, I want to say thank you to all of you for being so patient for this post. I wanted to get it up 2 weeks ago. Life has just come in the way as usual.
Let’s jump right into my favorite blogs!
The Daily Tay, I really don’t remember where I found Taylor. But, I absolutely love her blog! She’s so fun, encouraging and motivating. If you’d like to get to know Taylor a bit better, check this out: Allow Myself to Introduce Myself
Taylor runs an Etsy Store that sells some of the cutest T-shirts I’ve ever seen! I want to buy so many of them. It’s kind of a problem. Oh well, someday I’ll buy a bunch when I have money. Taylor has learned a lot from running her Etsy store (You can see some of the things she learned here: What I’ve Learned After Running My Own Business For 3 Years and here: Five Things That Have Helped Me Grow My Small Business)
I love how down to earth she is. In her We’re Getting Campy post, she gets really honest about how she feels about camping and such. In The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Sprucing Up Furniture she gives a lot of ideas on decorating a Sitting Room and Dining Room. Also, I love all of her wedding posts even though I’m not in a relationship or planning to be in one anytime soon. You can check some of them out here, here, here, and here.
Yet again, I can’t remember what led to me finding Chloe and her blog. But, I’m so glad I stumbled across it whenever that was. She is down to earth, honest, caring, open…
I love her post about Why You Should Take a Mental Health Day I completely agree with the post. As many of you know, mental health is something I’m very passionate about. (If you’d like to learn more about my story and journey through anxiety click here) This post is beautiful and a great reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. I’ve been really focusing on my mental health a lot lately and it’s been paying off. I encourage you to evaluate your mental health and take a step back from some of your responsibilities if you need to. Trust me, you will thank me later. I can always focus so much better when I take the time to get my brain under control.
I absolutely love Chocolate Chip Cookies and Ice Cream and I want to try Chloe’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich recipe so bad. I really struggle with my love of sugar because it triggers anxiety. (So, does caffeine, but I just can’t seem to give up coffee. What can I say? I am my father’s daughter.)
I’m so jealous of her Photo Diary of Our Two Week Five National Park Camping Trip I want to visit every single National Park that they did. Actually, a HUGE goal of mine is to turn this blog into a travel and fitness centered blog. Those are 2 things that I am so passionate about. It’s crazy how much your life can change in just a few short months. But, more on that at another time.
Charis Rae, I actually remember where I learned about Charis and her blog. I’ve been part of the Young Writers Workshop from the Rebelution for a couple of months now. I met Charis on there. (YWW is an amazing website and I’m so thankful that I’ve gotten to be a part of it.)
Charis’s post on Creating a Blogging Notebook – How to Have an Organized Blog Is seriously so helpful. I made a blogging notebook a few weeks before I saw this post. But, it gave me several new ideas of ways to organize my blog even better! I actually use both a composition book and a Google Doc to organize my blog. (If you’d like to see a post on this subject, comment below.)
Ballet dancing has been something that has intrigued me for a long time. (Never enough to want to actually become a ballerina. But, enough to research this world.) Charis’s post on 5 Misconceptions About Ballet Dancing Was really informative and I learned a lot of things that I didn’t know before!
Charis is also a very talented photographer, and in her Emerald Isle Photo Dump Part 2, She reveals the wonders of Emerald Isle in stunning pictures. This post makes me want to visit there.
I learned about The Homeschool Author’s blog from the Young Writers Workshop as well. She is a fascinating writer and has so much information to share. Her blog is a catalog of her journey down the path of publishing for her novel. (You can read more about her here)
In her post Best Things to Eat While Reading You can tell she’s a big reader as well as a writer. Her practical tips for reading snacks are very helpful. Being a reader myself I’m excited to use this advice. What type of books do you like to read?
How to Get Wisdom for Life This post, is probably one of my favorites that she has written. True wisdom only comes from God.
I can relate to her post How to Write Accurately a little too well… I’ve searched some weird things for my novel and blog posts. Everything from if you can survive a thrown knife being embedded in your arm to descriptions for knocking on doors. There also may or may not have been a time that I researched police interrogations very thoroughly… (I promise I am not a sociopath or psychopath. I just love learning and being informed on the subjects I write about.)
I met Moriah from the Young Writers Workshop too. (I promise I am not endorsed by YWW in any way. They don’t even know I’m mentioning them here. I’ve just met a lot of great people from the website and learned a lot from it and I can’t share my favorite blogs without talking about my favorite blogs. Can I?) I got to know Moriah a bit better by doing a guest post on her blog about What Does it Mean to Trust God? This was my first guest post and it is honestly one of my favorite posts that I have ever written. Trusting God is something I’ve learned a lot this year.
Every Saturday, Moriah writes a Sweet Saturday Sayings 8-12-17 I loved her most recent one. I think the Corrie Ten Boom quote in it is my favorite! “But that is what the past is for! Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for a future that only He can see.” This quote sums up my 2017 pretty much perfectly. I’ve had a lot of new experiences and met a lot of new people and I’ve seen God working through all of it. One of my favorite quotes is an anonymous one that says: “Those who leave everything in God’s hands eventually see God’s hands in everything.” This quote is so true. I’ve left everything in God’s hands lately (well, as much as I can, I am still an imperfect sinner who struggles with pride and independency.) This has been such an incredible thing and I encourage you to do the same.
Abundant Singleness I love this post. Being content and satisfied with singleness is something that I’ve struggled with this year. I went through my first boyfriend this year and learned a lot of lessons from it. I’m learning that God’s timing is so very important and that this is something that I need to give to Him and follow His timing. Rushing things never ends well. Moriah’s take on the satisfaction that we can have in God’s abundance is amazing.
The Spiritual battles that Christians fight are so real. I’ve battled with a lot of things this year, and I’ve learned each one of Moriah’s 6 Truths Learned During the Intensity of Battle during my fights. The awesome thing about being a Christian is that we might be fighting battles every day. But, the war is over! Jesus defeated Satan when He rose from the dead!
Moriah wrote a guest article for my blog recently: The Miraculous Beauty of Today In it, she talks about how we need to live in the present and not be worrying about tomorrow because tomorrow isn’t promised to you.
Sisters Creative is run by 4 sisters. I met Kelly (the youngest sister from this blog) on YWW. (The site has like 400 people on them. I haven’t met everyone but, I’ve met a few and I’m so grateful for all the friends I’ve made.) I got to know Kelly when she wrote a guest post for my blog the beginning of this month. Simple Truths Is all about the Simple Truths we find in God’s word.
In Ann’s post about Dream Living She talks about the lie of the world’s version of the dream life. This post really piqued my curiosity and made me think. What do you think about this topic?
I am also obsessed with coffee. (LOL, I’m on my second cup of homemade cold brew for the day already…) In Marie’s post about Finding Love In a Coffee House, She talks about the relationships that are built over coffee. Coffee is something that connects so many people around the world.
In Ann’s post titled, Amazed She talks about the beauty we see in creation that we just miss every day. (Also, her pictures are beautiful.)
Nerd Fitness, I don’t remember how I found them, but I’m so grateful I did! I love fitness and I’m becoming so passionate about it. Nerd Fitness also feeds my nerdy side. It’s gotten me really interested in things like Eating Paleo and Powerlifting. Check out these posts to see more on these topics: The Beginners Guide to the Paleo Diet and Meet Staci Your New Powerlifting Super Hero
Now, if you look at me, you probably won’t see much belly fat. But, it’s still there. I’ve been really fascinated by getting abs. Lately, I’ve changed my fitness goals to be more performance based than obtaining a certain physique in a certain amount of time. But, I’d still love to be able to see my abs someday. In their post Can You Actually Banish Belly Fat? I’ve learned so much about the science behind actually obtaining abs. (You probably have the wrong idea, you should totally read that post.)
Zach is yet another friend that I’ve made through YWW. I got to know him a bit better by just talking on the website. (I’ve learned that finding reformed Christians is kind of hard, but really cool when you do. It’s great to be able to talk to people who believe the same things you do.) And, then I got to know him even better when he wrote a guest post for my blog: Who We Truly Are
In his post, Spiritual Disciplines and Young People Zach talks about how important it is to be Spiritually Disciplined. I’ve seen the truth of this played out in my life. It’s the times when I’m not disciplined that I have the most struggles.
God’s grace is the most incredible thing in the entire universe! In his post on Ephesians 2 By Grace Through Faith Zach talks about how God’s grace works in our life.
And, that’s all the blogs for this month! I’m so sorry that it’s taken me so long to get this post up! I meant to have it completely done almost 2 weeks ago! But, life just happens sometimes.
Thank you for reading this! If you’d like to be featured in my next one of these, comment below and leave a link to your blog!
Soli Deo Gloria,
