Quote of the Day

Quote of the Day

Today, I’m doing a little bit of a different blog post. I’m going to share one of my favorite quotes and talk a little bit about it! I have loved this quote for a long time and I’m really excited to share it with you today!

“The world is going to judge you no matter what you do, so live your life the way you want to.”

This quote reminds me that this is my life and my life alone

Every time I try to explain what I want to do with my life to someone I think about this quote. It’s a good reminder to me that I need to live my life for me because I am the one who has to deal with the consequences. Another quote I love is,

‘Don’t base your decisions on the advice of someone who doesn’t have to live with the consequences.’

Jesus said in Matthew 7:1-2 ‘Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it will be measured to you again.’

Everyone has a reason for why they do what they do and they don’t owe anyone an explanation of that reason. If someone takes the time to explain to you their reason for doing something, please take the time to listen and try to understand. They don’t owe it to you to explain it. They have their own reasons for doing what they do.

Not knowing what you want to do with your life is really hard

Honestly, I hate that since I have graduated high school everyone wants to know what I’m going to do with my life. I will say, the answer ‘I don’t know yet’ gets some strange looks. But I believe that they don’t need to know. Most people when I try to explain what I want to do look at me with a very judging expression and just don’t understand. How do you explain to people that you want to do four different things with your life and don’t know which one you want to start with or how?

Please take this quote to heart and remember it next time you want to judge someone for their life choices without knowing their reasons.

‘Before you assume there is this thing called asking.’

Happiness is something everyone wants.

As hard as I try to find happiness in this world I just can’t find it. I have learned that true joy comes from God. For me to have true joy I need to have peace. There have been some crazy things happening in my life recently and I’ve been pretty stressed. But this morning I spent some time in prayer and God has blessed me with peace again. God is always faithful. I have found that it is in the moments that I place my trust in man and not God that I have the most stress. God is my anchor through all the storms of life.

Sorry if this post was a little random and all over the place. I guess it’s a pretty good representation of how my brain works…

Thank you for taking the time to read it.

Question of the day, ‘What is one quote that you live your life by?’
